  ISOVER glass wool provides efficient acoustic absorption, especially for mid and high frequencies in line with stringent new European regulations relating to noise emissions.

• Optimum car heat insulation
  Our glass wool products guarantee a strong barrier against heat loss to maintain the right temperature in order to optimise engine performance and lower CO2 emissions. Once installed, these products act as thermal screens to protect the vehicle parts from hot points.

• Enhanced fire protection
  Our products are non-combustible. They help fulfil automotive standards including FMVSS302. Depending on the surface material, the products are designed to meet fire tests such as ISO 5660 and ISO 5658, as well as even more stringent tests like SS 02 48 21 (INSTA 410).

• Lightweight materials
  We aim to create the ideal balance in terms of cost and weight for effective sound reduction – with our solutions, you can obtain the same acoustic absorption as cotton with just half the weight.

• Easy moulding
  Ideal for moulding, mineral wool is easy to process. Using compression moulding, die cutting and sawing, you can produce components in almost any shape with a choice of finishes. With fire-retardant, hydrophobic and oleophobic coatings, these facings help protect your engine from water and oil, as well as the risk of fire.

• Excellent resistance and durability
  ISOVER glass wool provides excellent mechanical resistance and stability throughout the vehicle life-time including resistance to ageing and vibrations. This means you can use fewer fixing brackets compared to other types of insulation material. 

• High temperature resistance
  ISOVER solutions are ideal for engine encapsulation to reduce noise emissions close to the source while maintaining an optimal engine temperature. Glass wool moulded parts can sustain temperatures up to 230°C.

• Limiting your environmental impact
  All our mineral wool insulation products are bio-soluble, 100% recyclable and made from natural raw materials. Our automotive mats are elaborated from up to 80% recycled material. ISOVER mineral wool products are also non-carcinogenic in accordance with EU criteria and certified by the EUCEB and RAL quality labels “Products made of mineral wool”.
