But quality is much more! it's also essential for us to uphold the customer promise by achieving all properties and characteristics of our products, services and systems and by encompassing various factors such as energy efficiency, recyclability, and assessment of the environmental impact.
Our 6 golden rules regarding the quality of our products
In order to ensure that the products meet the expected quality, the entities working for Saint-Gobain Technical Insulation are committed to respecting the following 6 principles:
- Regulations, norms and standards monitoring
The relevant regulations, norms and standards at local, national and international levels are regularly monitored to identify changes that may impact our products.
- Products’ design and development
Our Products’ design & development processes include rigorous validation of the products performances to ensure their quality can be sustained in production.
- Testing and certification
Initial testing and continuous surveillance are performed, to verify and ensure that our products meet regulations, norms and standards. This may involve using internal or third-party accredited testing laboratories.
- Supply chain management
Robust processes are established to select and to evaluate our suppliers notably to ensure that their products meet quality requirements and standards. This may include conducting supplier audits and assessments.
- Documentation and record keeping
Accurate and up-to-date documentation related to products’ quality are recorded. This may include regulatory submissions, test reports, certificates, or audit records.
- Product compliance program
A product compliance program is implemented within Saint-Gobain Technical Insulation to strengthening the culture of product quality and compliance. This program is designed to remind our teams of the key principles and processes related to products quality and compliance throughout their lifecycle, from design to production, marketing, use and finally to end of life.
This program includes four steps:
- awareness campaigns at all levels of the organization
- definition of a roadmap to roll out the program
- assessment of the effectiveness of our processes within our organization
- definition and implementation of sustainable improvement plans, if necessary.
