New standard of ventilation

CLIMAVER® Plus self-supporting duct system for the distribution of air in ventilation, heating and cooling systems, especially where interior cleaning  and fire safety requirements are high.

Characteristics

  • High-density glass wool panel with a outer lining of aluminium reinforced with a glass fibre mesh, kraft paper and a glass mesh to ensure rigidity .
  • Manufactured from inorganic  chemically biosoluble materials and do not include anything that would have effect on corrosion and shall not facilitate microbial growth.
  • Technical characteristics in compliance with applicable regulations.This section features all the technical characteristics required for references standards: EN 14303, EN 13403, EN ISO 354,EN 13501-1 EN 15715, EN 12667,EN 12939, EN 12086, EN 1604, and EN 12237

Pressure  loss

For normal HVAC systems air speed pressure drops are similar to metal ducts ,ASHRAE charts for metal ducts can be used

Other information

  • Mechanical strength: rules out duct damage and detachment
  • Exclusive male flanging: allows a cleanable joint between sections, without any break in the unity of the inner lining
  • Male flanging treatment: continuous resistance to brushing.
  • The aluminium acts as a vapour barrier and gives protection to the inner and outer surface of the duct; the reinforced glass fibre mesh provides additional resistance to punching.
  • Marking of SDM guide lines: points of reference for the construction of duct layouts using the Straight Duct Method, or SDM

Assembly

Although there are other assembly methods, the recommended method is the “Straight Duct Method”, SDM. This method is based in the use of a straight duct as the basis to obtain duct fittings, and, therefore, the ductwork. The Straight Duct Method uses two types of accessories:
  • CLIMAVER tools: CLIMAVER MM, used to groove the panel so that it can be folded into the duct section, and CLIMAVER MTR, used to cut the straight duct and obtain the pieces that will be used to make duct fittings.
  • CLIMAVER Glue and CLIMAVER Tape: These are used to seal joints when making duct fittings. CLIMAVER Glue has been specially developed to glue glass wool. CLIMAVER tape is made of pure aluminium, 50μm thick and 65 mm wide.
