CLIMAVER® A2 Deco self-supporting duct system for the distribution of air in heating and cooling systems manufactured using glass wool panel, designed to offer thermal insulation acoustic attenuation and facilitate cleaning.

Superior thermal and acoutic insulation panels for the manufacture of self-supporting ducts for the distribution of air in heating and cooling systems and designed for visible installations. 

CLIMAVER® A2 Deco is specially designed for the projects where the visual aspect is highly respected.

 

Characteristics

  • High-density , Isover rigid glass wool panel; the external facing is covered with a decorative fiberglass fabric and an aluminium foil which acts as a vapour barrier, and the internal facing with a black reinforced glass neto fabric with high mechanical resistance. 
  • Manufactured from inorganic  chemically biosoluble materials and do not include anything that would have effect on corrosion and shall not facilitate microbial growth.
  • Climaver® A2 Deco is covered with glass fabric in and outside. Available in 5 different colours : Grey, Black, blue, Green and red.
  • In order to guarantee the continuity of Isover colour there is tape CLIMAVER A2 DECO available in each colour in the range.
  • This section features all the technical characteristics required for reference standards:EN 14303, EN 13403, EN ISO 354,EN 13501-1 EN 15715, EN 12667,EN 12939, EN 12086, EN 1604, and EN 12237

For normal HVAC systems air speed pressure drops are similar to metal ducts ,ASHRAE charts for metal ducts can be used

Other information

  • The NETO facing combines the maximum acoustic absorption with a high resistance inner facing; highest acoustic absorption for 25 mm thickness panels. 
  • Mechanical strength: rules out duct damage and detachment
  • The interior NETO facing has a high mechanical resistance, meaning that the duct can be cleaned using the most aggressive methods, such as, for example, brushing and wave permeability and absence of perforations susceptible to the accumulation of dirt
  • Additional exterior painting not required

Assembly

Although there are other assembly methods, the recommended method is the “Straight Duct Method”, SDM. This method is based in the use of a straight duct as the basis to obtain duct fittings, and, therefore, the ductwork. The Straight Duct Method uses two types of accessories:
  • CLIMAVER tools: CLIMAVER MM, used to groove the panel so that it can be folded into the duct section, and CLIMAVER MTR, used to cut the straight duct and obtain the pieces that will be used to make duct fittings.
  • CLIMAVER Glue and CLIMAVER Tape: These are used to seal joints when making duct fittings. CLIMAVER Glue has been specially developed to glue glass wool. CLIMAVER tape is made of pure aluminium, 50μm thick and 65 mm wide.In order to guarantee the continuity of Isover colour there is tape CLIMAVER A2 DECO available in each colour in the range.
