The 6th Fleet flagship USS Mount Whitney (LCC 20), from the US Navy, is currently being renovated with ULTIMATE® products, at Viktor Lenac Shipyard in Croatia
Viktor Lenac Shipyard in Rijeka, Croatia has been awarded a contract for extensive ship repair and dry-docking of the 6th Fleet flagship USS Mount Whitney (LCC 20) by the US Navy. The project, which began in January 2015 and will last for a period of at least six months, includes the complete overhaul and docking of the ship, class surveys, renovation of accommodations and galleys, shell plating and deck house steel renewal.
All systems for fire, thermal and acoustical insulations which will be changed will be replaced by ULTIMATE® insulations faced with glass cloth. Joints will be cover with Marine Tape G120. There will be installed around two trucks of insulations and almost 17 km of tape.
