ISOVER provided products for the railway's noise barrier on the Nuremberg / Ebenfeld line.

The "German Unity Transport Project" was introduced by Germany's federal Government in 1991 following the German reunification. It consists in a high-speed line to cope with high flows of passenger and freight traffic while minimising the impact on the environment and to strenghten the eastern north-south axis runs through Germany.
ISOVER contributed providing the appropriate products for the railway's Noise Barrier on the Nuremberg - Ebenfeld line.

Thanks to this construction, the customer was able to fulfill the following standards:

  • DIN EN ISO 10140-2 Acoustics - Laboratory measurement of sound insulation of building elements
  • DIN EN ISO 10140-4 Acoustics - Measurement of sound insulation in buildings and of building elements
  • RIL. 804.5501 Lärmschutzanlagen an Eisenbahnstrecken
  • DIN EN ISO 717-1 Acoustics - Rating of sound insulation in buildings and of building elements
  • DIN EN ISO 354 Acoustics - Measurement of room acoustic parameters
  • DIN EN 1793 -1 Road traffic noise reducing devices - Test method for determining the acoustic performance
  • DIN EN 1793-3 Road traffic noise reducing devices - Test method for determining the acoustic performance
  • ZTV-LSW 06 Additional technical terms of contract and guidelines for the design of noise barriers on roads

Our customer passed all these tests with success and was able to get the license to build a first test track that proved to be satisfying in light of the Eisenbahn Bundesamt (EBA)'s criteria. After this successful ultimate test, our customer became certified to build high speed Noise Barriers.
