Viking Line Ferry
Isover provided its ultimate® insulation solutions for a 139 m ferry able to accommodate 1500 passengers on board. Isover spain worked directly with the astilleros de sevilla- sevilla shipyard in order to find the lightest solution. The viking line ferry company signed a contract with the spanish shipyard astilleros de sevilla for a newly built ferry to be delivered by the summer of 2009.
ISOVER aboard Loch Seaforth
The yard Flensburger Schiffbau-Gesellschaft used the high-performance material ULTIMATE® made by ISOVER for the building of the ferry boat “Loch Seaforth” for the Scottish company Caledonian Maritime Assets Limited (CMAL).
HRVAT - Ro-Ro Passengers Ship
MF HRVAT is a ferry owned by Croatian shipping company Jadrolinija with the capacity of 1200 passengers and 138 cars.
Gunung Dempo
The Gunung Dempo is the 24th ship MEYER WEFT is building for Indonesia. The 14,200-gt passenger vessel has a length overall of 146.8 m and is 23.40 m wide. The newbuilding is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment, and at the same time with solid, resilient technical systems. Upon completion, the Gunung Dempo will carry passengers as well as containers.
Fromveur II – Piriou shipyard
Built in 2010-2011 and inaugurated in August 2011, the Fromveur II is used as Brittany Islands passengers' commuter. It is 45m long, for approximately 400 passengers. It was insulated with ULTIMATE®.
Extension of two ferries: "Stella Hollandica" and "Stella Britannica"
Both ships were insulated with different ISOVER products, which allowed a weight reduction of more than 25 tons. The operating costs of the ship will be lower as planned during the whole lifetime of about 25 or 30 years. The good logistics of ISOVER, which means the availability of ULTIMATE® products, was also much appreciated on the construction site.
Bella Desgagnes
Bella Desgagnes is a huge passenger container vessel with a length of 95m. Outside the high weight reduction they allow, ULTIMATE® products have excellent thermal, acoustic and fire-retarding features (fire protection better than A 60).
Clipper Hebe
The Clipper Hebe was launched from the Papenberg yard in August 2007. The tanks and cooling systems have been designed to allow the ship to be versatile enough to carry a variety of other chemicals including vinyl chloride monomer, ammonia or propylene oxide. Following the successful delivery of the Clipper Hebe, the second ship in the series occurred in November 2007. A further two tankers followed in May and November 2008.
Containership 4000 TEU “Maersk Buffalo” BN 463
With a length of 293 m, this container ship was insulated with ULTIMATE® rolls, which were on a logistical point of view more efficient for the contractor.
AHTS Anchor Tug Vessel
The AHTS Anchor Tug Vessel was built at the Zamakona Shipyard in Bilbao. ISOVER provided insulation solutions for fire, thermal and acoustic applications of a 85 m anchor handling tug supply (AHTS) vessels in total.
75–M–RoPax ferry
The client needed a light weight solution, and additionally a high fire protection in steel and aluminium. ISOVER enabled a high reduction of weight and the decrease of operating costs.
3 Wightlink Ferries
The three identical ferries are named the Wight Light (launched in January 2008); Wight Sky (launched in April 2008); and Wight Sun (completed in November 2008). Each of the ferries is expected to undertake more than 200,000 trips during their operational lives and will cover more than 750,000 nautical miles.
Insulation by ISOVER allowed a weight reduction of approximately 20 tons, and brought A60 fire retarding systems.
