Opening of the Fire Competence Center
The Fire Competence Center (FCC) was officially opened on July 8th, in the presence of a number of local elected officials, Michael Wörtler, Regional Managing Director Construction Products for Germany and Austria and Managing Director of Saint-Gobain ISOVER, and Michael Schumm, Director of the Insulation Activity’s research center in Ladenburg (Germany).

Hosted in the Ladenburg Development Center, the FCC will perform fire resistance tests for the Insulation Activity as well as tests for products and systems developed by other Saint-Gobain Activities and Sectors. Equipped with a mid-scale and a full scale oven, the available testing series are in line with the homologated institutes and allow for example a pre-testing of coming innovations under fully confidential conditions.
