This biennial event, first staged in 1965 is today a leading meeting place for the world’s shipping industry. It aims to bring together the best and the brightest of the shipping industry worldwide.With their innovative solutions: Weber, Isover, Vetrotech and Halton presented themselves at Nor-shipping 2011.
Leading in weight-saving, energy saving, safety and comfort solutions, Saint-Gobain Marine Applications , created in 2004, consists of nine international Saint-Gobain companies:

- and Technical Fabrics.
They work in cooperation with Halton.
One of the highlights during the week was the SGMA event where more than 70 VIP guests from all over the world, experienced an inspirational speech by the Trainer of the Norwegian Cross Country team, Mr. Åge Skinstad. This successful event hosted at the Weber Training Centre next to the exhibition led to better synergies and inspired new business opportunities
Showing also a great interest in the innovative solutions of Saint-Gobain a record breaking total of 33,533 delegates attended the 4-day exhibition, which also featured 22 national pavilions and 5 “theme parks”.
